Privacy Statement

Chem-Online has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. All personal information of Chem-Online members is held by us in confidence with complete integrity for security and privacy to the fullest extent provided in our User Agreement.

With member registration to Chem-Online we automatically capture the IP address and host name (if available) of the members originating server. The IP address identifies the computer a member is working on but does not reveal any personal information about the member. This information helps us to diagnose problems with our server and it allows us direct improvements to Chem-Online by gathering broad, unattributed demographic information about general patterns of member use on our web-site.

Our site's registration form requires users to give us contact information (such as name, title, email address, phone number and mailing address). We understand the importance of protecting the privacy of our members.

Accordingly we pledge that no information specifically identified to registered members of Chem-Online will be sold, traded or shared with any third party, including advertisers, organizations, or other members with the following exceptions:

We reserve the right to request references for those who register to trade on our site in order to ensure that we register only qualified chemical buyers and sellers who have the ability to make bids or offers. Only with your written authorization would this information be disclosed to buyers or sellers.

Chem-Online will publish information about the activity on Chem-Online using aggregated trading information that does not include the identities of members that are parties to the transactions.

Chem-Online uses a cookie file so that users do not have to log in each time they wish to view their account information. This is a convenience and a time-saver for single user computer access. When multiple users use the same computer, the cookie should be disabled in the browser. When cookies are disabled, users will need to log in each time to view active postings.

To remove information from our database to avoid receiving further communication, discontinue our service or change information previously provided, you may email us at service@chem-online.com.

Chem-Online may update or amend this privacy statement at any time by posting the amended statement to the Chem-Online site.
